معرفی کامل

مجله تخصصی نسخه‌های خطی شرقی[۱]به ابتکار گروهی از شرق شناسان شهر سنت پترزبورگ[۲] در روسیه، فعالیت خویش را از سال ۱۹۹۵ در حوزه تخصصی نسخ خطی شرقی، آغاز نموده است.این نشریه در حال حاضر با همکاری سه نهاد، یعنی موزه بزرگ مردم‌شناسی و مردم‌نگاری «پیتر»[۳]،فرهنگستان علوم روسیه و موزه ارمیتاژ منتشر می‌گردد. بنابر نوشته سر ویراستار (دکتر رضوان)[۴]این اولین و تنها مجله بین المللی کاملا تخصصی در حوزه نسخه‌های خطی شرقی است که به مسائل متن شناسی[۵]شرقی، نسخه شناسی تطبیقی[۶]، ونوشته‌های باستانی[۷]اختصاص دارد. ویژگی مقالات این نشریه این است که آنها از سوی محققان و دانشمندان آشنا با منابع زبان‌های شرقی و حفظ نسخ خطی نگارش یافته و عمده آنان، در مجموعه‌های غنی و مشهور، در موزه‌ها، کتابخانه‌ها و آرشیوهای کشورهای مختلف، اشتغال بکار دارند.

باید افزود که این نشریه علمی، در قالب فصلنامه (از سال ۲۰۰۷ دو فصلنامه)، به زبان انگلیسی در ۷۲ صفحه، زیر نظر شورای سردبیری، از سوی ناشر تیزا[۸]در شهر سنت پترزبورگ منتشر می‌گردد و با قیمت بین المللی یکصد دلار در گستره جهانی توزیع می‌گردد؛ باید دانست که در کنار زبان انگلیسی، این نشریه، تاکنون مقالاتی را نیز به زبان‌های لاتینی مانند آلمانی و فرانسوی و اسلاوی مانند روسی، منتشر نموده است. این نشریه از سال ۱۹۹۵ تاکنون (۲۰۱۳)، ۵۵ شماره منتشر شده  و آخرین شماره آن نیز تا هنگام تنظیم این نوشتار کوتاه، سال ۱۶، شماره اول چاپ ژوئن ۲۰۱۰ بوده است و گویا به جهت مشکلات مادی ناشی از رکود اقتصادی در اروپا پس از آن شماره‌ای منتشر نشده است.

ترجمه فارسی برخی از مقالات این نشریه وزین و ارزنده، به دانشجویان و محققان جوان توصیه می‌گردد. برای این امر و تسهیل در مراجعه، در ذیل فهرست و گزارشی از مقالات مربوط به مطالات اسلامی و ایران شناسی، به زبان اصلی ارائه گردیده است. تمامی شماره‌های این نشریه گرانسنگ در کتابخانه آیت‌الله العظمی مرعشی نجفی (ره) موجود است.
