طاهره قطب‌الدین

طاهره قطب‌الدین (متولد ۱۹۶۴ در بمبئ، هند) صاحب کرسی عبدالعزیز سعود البابطین در مطالعات عربی لودین در دانشگاه آکسفورد است. او پیش از آن به مدت ۲۱ سال استاد ادبیات عربی در دپارتمان زبان‌ها و تمدن‌های خاور نزدیک در دانشگاه شیکاگو بوده است. او مدرک دکترای خود را از دانشگاه هاروارد دریافت کرده است.

تحقیقات قطب‌الدین در ادب عربی کلاسیک و مطالعات اسلامی بر مشترکات ادبیات، دین و سیاست در نظم و نثر تمرکز دارد. علائق پژوهشی او عبارت است از: شعر عربی کلاسیک، خطابات، رسالات، موعظات، روایت، بوطیقا، و لغت‌شناسی تاریخی؛ خطبه‌ها و احادیث امام علی بن ابی طالب؛ احادیث اخلاقی و مواعظ پیامبر؛ شعر، تاریخ، کلام و فقه فاطمیان؛ ویژگی‌های ادبی و تفسیر نمادین قرآن؛ آثار زنان در ادبیات عربی کلاسیک؛ و تاریخ، کارکردها، و ژانرهای عربی در هند.

از جمله آثار او که اخیرا منتشر شده است، ترجمه‌ای جدید از نهج‌البلاغه به زبان انگلیسی (Brill, 2024) است.
