ویلم فلور

ویلم فلور مورخ، نویسنده و ایران‌شناس هلندی است. او در سال ۱۹۴۲ در اوترخت هلند به دنیا آمده است و در دانشگاه اوترخت در رشته‌های اقتصاد، جامعه‌شناسی جوامع غیر غربی، و مطالعات اسلامی تحصیل کرده است. او با فراگیری زبان‌های عربی و فارسی در نهایت دکترای خود را از دانشگاه لاید با موضوع «اتحادیه‌های صنفی در ایران قاجار» اخذ کرد. او از آن زمان تاکنون در حوزه مطالعات ایران مشغول بوده است و آثار زیادی درباره تاریخ اجتماعی-اقتصادی ایران منتشر کرده است. از جمله کتاب‌‌های او تاریخ مالی ایران در دوران صفویه و قاجاریه (۱۹۹۸، بیبلوتکا) و تاریخ کاغذ در ایران، ۱۵۰۱-۱۹۲۵ (۲۰۲۲، میج پابلیشرز) است.
